Separation Anxiety Training
​
Symptoms:
- excessive barking, inappropriate toileting, self harm/mutilation, increased body temp., shaking, crying, escaping/exit checking
​
Treatment:
The only ethical and effective method of treating separation anxiety is gradual exposure therapy. This means we must suspend absences unless training until the condition is resolved. This may look like daycare, friends, family to babysit and other options.
